Dutch National Taekwondo Championships 2024
Last weekend, the National Taekwondo Championships took place in Almere, Saturday sparring, Sunday Poomsae.
On behalf of the Gyeong-rye Academy in the Hague, 4 members participated, all in the highest, mostly black belt class.
In the Poomsae section, Brandon Chan won both the individual class and pairs and went home with two gold medals.
Last week, during the Yoosin tournament in Lent near Nijmegen, he also won two gold medals in both classes.
An excellent performance for our 11-year-old Brandon! Rosia Chung competed in the ladies A-class, adults and managed to take a third place in the finals.
Eva Wan also competed in the A-classes in a very heavily occupied pool with a large number of participants, including strong champions with a lot of international experience.
Despite a good performance, Eva did not reach the finals.
Talib Al Zhraou had registered for the sparring section, which took place on Saturday.
The A-class was tough and Talib eventually managed to finish 5th. Congratulations to all participants!
